Keith to make television return in Death Comes to Pemberley
A host of star names have been added to the cast for Death Comes to Pemberley, an adaptation of the PD James bestseller that will begin filming in Yorkshire this month.
Penelope Keith, best known for her roles in To The Manor Born and The Good Life, will return to television to play the role of Lady Catherine de Bourgh.
Trevor Eve (Kidnap And Ransom, Waking The Dead), Rebecca Front (The Thick Of It) and Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who, Dancing On The Edge) will also take on roles in the 3 x 60-minute drama, which is produced by Origin Pictures and part funded by Screen Yorkshire.
Already on the bill are Anna Maxwell Martin (The Bletchley Circle, South Riding), Matthew Rhys (Brothers And Sisters, The Mystery Of Edwin Drood) and Matthew Goode (Dancing On The Edge, Birdsong).
Directed by BAFTA-winning director Daniel Percival (Dirty War, Place Of Execution), the executive producer for Origin Pictures is Ed Rubin, alongside Polly Hill for the BBC and Hugo Heppell for Screen Yorkshire.
The book, which was an international best-seller, has been adapted by Juliette Towhidi, who also penned Calendar Girls.
