The Composer Works’ composition team of Banks & Wag has produced the music for a new Nickelodeon and Sky street dance series.
Jordan and Perri’s Ultimate Block Party is an 8×30 minute series made by Princess Productions and featuring Britain’s Got Talent winners, Diversity. The show follows the group as they travel around the country surprising groups of friends and hosting parties.
“We drew influence from contemporary acts such as Dizzee Rascal and Rizzle Kicks, to give the show a bleeding edge sound. And it’s always a pleasure when a production asks us to turn up the bass!” said Banks & Wag.
It’s the first time that Sky and Nickelodeon have jointly commissioned a television production and it will premiere on the children’s channel in June, before hitting Sky One later in the year.
“It’s great to be involved with the music for a historic collaboration like this which involves such superb talent,” added Steve Berman of the MediaCityUK based The Composer Works.
