Mike Blair returns to the North West with ITV Shiver

Mike Blair, ITV’s editor of current affairs, has been appointed as executive producer of ITV Shiver.

Shiver is the factual division of ITV Studios and is based at MediaCityUK. Blair will be responsible for developing new productions as well as overseeing the current slate, including Tonight, The Martin Lewis Money Show and Countrywise.

He will report to ITV Studio UK’s director of factual, Alex Gardiner.

“Mike’s vast experience as an editor will prove invaluable as we look to grow Shiver’s award-winning output for both ITV and external broadcasters, from our bases in London, Manchester and Leeds,” said Gardiner.

Blair has been editor of current affairs at ITV since 2011 and was responsible for titles such as Exposure, which included The Other Side of Jimmy Savile programme.

“I’m delighted to be joining Shiver at such an exciting time and look forward to working across its existing factual brands as well as developing new ideas for a variety of UK channels,” he said.

Prior to 2011, he was a senior executive within ITV News – looking after the Granada, Central and Wales regions.

He will now be based out at MediaCityUK.
