McCann Manchester has made two senior appointments to its strategy and insight team.

Dr Liz Harrison has been named strategy and insight director and will be leading the planning on its Aldi account, while Julie Randall becomes senior strategy and insight lead.

“Great planners are the lifeblood of any agency and in Julie and Liz, we’ve got two of the best in the business. I’m delighted to welcome them aboard and know their skills and experience will further strengthen an already excellent planning team,” said Jamie Peate, director of strategy and insight.

Harrison was previously head of customer strategy and CRM at the Co-operative Group and was involved with the restructure of its core business. She has PhD in marketing.

Meanwhile Randall had spent 20 years at Proximity London, working with clients including Mars, Heinz, Lloyds Bank and The Royal Mail.

There are now 15 people within the agency’s strategy and insight department, taking McCann Manchester (and Lakestar)’s total headcount to 360.
