R.O.Eye has appointed Matt Bailey, a former chairman of the IAB Affiliate Marketing Council, as its new commercial director.

He will manage expansion across the Manchester agency's corporate customer base, which currently includes eBay, Virgin Holidays and Coral. R.O.Eye has offices in Manchester, London and Berlin and plans to increase its UK and international reach.

Bailey was most recently a co-founder and head of product at marketing technology company Performance Horizon, working with brands such as British Airways and Sainsbury’s.

“Advances in performance marketing mean a new breed of agency is emerging - the industry is changing and there is opportunity for a specialist like R.O.Eye to secure more market share,” said Bailey.

“New social media and mobile technologies are developing rapidly, more client budget is moving towards performance and there’s space to help both large brands and smaller retailers that wish to effectively drive more sales.”

Mark Kuhillow, founder of R.O.Eye, added: "Gaining a valuable industry heavyweight like Matt will help cement our position within the marketplace. The agency has a number of exciting plans, and a strong team means we can consistently deliver great results for our clients as we grow.”
