Just a few weeks to go to the launch of Made in Leeds – and last week we brought news of the raft of new job openings that will result, with many already having been filled.
Further big news in the Yorkshire broadcasting world came with the departure of co-founder Glyn Middleton from True North, days after an investment from Channel 4.

Appointments-wise, Liverpool’s Agent Marketing has appointed a senior digital consultant and the editor of ASOS magazine has joined Leeds-based agency, Finn. SIS has also hired a new head of digital rights.
There’s been a big recruitment drive on the jobs board this week by Dentsu Aegis Network, the global media and marketing group.
One of its companies, iProspect Manchester, has a senior opportunity for a Group Search Manager who can take charge of all the agency’s search clients, working with team managers to ensure briefs are delivered correctly.
It also has openings for a Paid Search Executive, Digital PR Executive, Natural Search Executive, Paid Search Manager and Content Campaign Manager.
Another of its companies, Carat Media, needs a Media Executive and Media Manager to take lead roles in “planning and managing integrated media campaigns”, and there’s also a post open for a Display Media Executive.
Vizeum Manchester is looking for an Account Manager, AMNET – the Dentsu Aegis Network Trading Desk – is after a Trading Executive and Paid Social Manager, while the group as a whole has an opportunity for an SQL BI Developer.
Also on the board this week, Cheshire-based Oakbase is looking for somebody with at least two years’ agency account director experience to become its new PR Account Director.
Manchester Central is looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager who will be charged with raising the profile of its portfolio of venues.
Other PR roles this week come in the shape of a PR Officer position at top 150 law firm Stephensons Solicitors, while Ignite PR needs an Account Executive in consumer PR for its MediaCityUK office.
Finally, there are vacant positions for a Digital Project Executive at Access Advertising – you’ll need at least a year’s experience – and a Middleweight WordPress Developer at Ahoy Creative in Heaton Moor.
