Three hires for Corporation Pop as it predicts record year
Corporation Pop has made three new hires including an appointment to its senior team.
Jess Bolton joins the management team as the company’s first client services director. She was most recently at MMP Global and has also worked for Building Blocks, UKFast and Revellers.
Tim Saunders joins the team as an app developer after spending four years freelancing for the likes of the BBC, Cartoon Network, Sony and Samsung. He’s previously held roles with Monumental and Sony.
And Liam Duncan joins as games developer from Clicks and Links, where he was lead developer working on a range of serious games for business applications.
Corporation Pop, based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, has enjoyed 20% year-on-year growth for the last three years and for the period 2015/16 turnover is anticipated to be 22% up on the previous year, its best ever.
Specialising in serious games, advergames, web applications and 3D virtual environments, the agency has moved away from project-based work to a retained business model, which now accounts for around a third of its work.
It recently achieved the Cyber Essentials accreditation, helping it to win a place on the government's ‘Digital Outcomes’ Framework Agreement, and is currently working on mobile apps for the government-funded Cyber Security Challenge, as well as projects for the BBC, 1418NOW and the British Council.
MD Dom Raban said: “2016 has been the best year in the company's history. This is down to our continued commitment to remain ahead of the curve, investment in our people and re-focus on retained business.
“All our new hires will consolidate our position as one of the North's leading interactive agencies.”
