Sheffield digital agency, Rocket, has promoted Nick Crossland to the role of creative director.

It follows a period of “exceptional growth” at the agency, which last year won a Bafta through its work with Channel 4.

“This is a recognition of the dedication, insight and value Nick brings to Rocket,” said managing director, Andy Barratt.

“I’ve known Nick for 12 years. In that time we have seen each other marry, have kids and generally get a bit (a lot) older. Together, and with the rest of the team, we’ve also built a business. A business we are really proud of. We’ve won huge awards and worked in collaboration with incredible people and organisations – more than we could have ever dreamt of.”

The agency has also recently appointed Imogen Hesp, previously of We Are Social and Aimee Harrison from AKQA to work within its producer team.

“This isn’t growth for the sake of it, we will remain deliberately small, we want to retain the quality of work and our close relationships with our clients. This is about pushing our ambition and increasing our ability to work at an international level,” explained Barratt.
