Hatton to lead digital marketing services at Trinity Mirror

Ben Hatton has been named managing director of Trinity Mirror’s Digital Marketing Services network.

He will remain managing director of Rippleffect, but the new role will see him assume responsibility for the growth and development of Trinity’s digital marketing.

"It is a very exciting challenge for me and the Group. Rippleffect has demonstrated continued growth and with the acquisition of Communicator and further organic developments, we are starting to form a strong Digital Marketing Network of 'best of breed' companies,” he said.

"Our immediate focus will be to build on the success that both agencies have achieved and ensure they can meet their respective growth targets over the next 12 months.”

Rippleffect, which has offices in Liverpool, Manchester, London and Glasgow was acquired by Trinity in 2008 and Hatton played a key role in the £8m Communicator Corp deal last year.

Both agencies are very much part of Trinity’s digital proposition, with Rippleffect behind the new trinitymirror.com website and Communicator providing email marketing services to several Trinity businesses.
