Isabel Begg will be leaving BBC North to take up a new position as head of commercial & business development, rights, and business affairs for BBC Radio & Music.
In the role she’ll be responsible for managing all business affairs and commercial activity for the BBC Radio Group and BBC Music.
This will mean working alongside its editorial teams to provide direction and advice on deals with external partners as well as rights negotiations and managing the BBC’s IP. She’ll also be joining the BBC’s radio board.
At BBC North Begg established its rights and business affairs team, working across departments including Radio 5Live, Children’s, Learning and Religion & Ethics.
“I’m really excited about the opportunity to work in Radio and Music, two of my personal passions, and contribute to such fantastic output,” she said.
She’s previously worked for the BBC’s drama, and film and acquisitions departments as well as being head of business affairs for Miramax Films in the UK.
