Three breakfast show producers on Northern radio stations have been made redundant by Bauer Media.

The producers, who were told of the changes last week, worked at Preston-based Rock FM, Leeds’s Radio Aire and Viking FM in Hull.

A statement from Bauer said: “Bauer Media confirms three breakfast producer roles have been made redundant at Rock FM, Radio Aire and Viking FM.

“This brings these stations in line with other stations such as Tay FM, CFM, Radio Borders, MFR and West FM, which also run breakfast shows without producers.”

Breakfast producers on other Place Portfolio stations, including Key 103, Radio City and Hallam FM, are being retained.
