North West duo team up for pet food video project

GA Partners' Georgina Sims-Stirling

Ramsbottom-based video production company Bigtank has delivered a series of videos for GA Pet Food Partners to help improve customer and employee engagement and understanding of its operations.

With head offices in Chorley, production facilities in Leyland, and offices in locations across Europe and Japan, GA Partners employs over 800 people and sells in excess of 80,000 tonnes of dry extruded pet food per year, exporting to 50 different countries across the world for some of the best-known brands on the planet.

The videos are used on the company website and internally, and are aimed at providing insight into how petfood is made to allow staff and customers to get a holistic understanding of the scale and scope of operations at the family-run business.

Featuring and presented by the company’s own people, the suite of videos is split into eight sections covering operations, from ingredients sourcing, through development and manufacture, to logistics and export.

GA Pet Food Partners communication director, Georgina Sims-Stirling, said: “At GA Pet Food Partners, we are proud to provide private label pet food opportunities for partners across the globe, sourcing our fresh ingredients from farms and fisheries that we know and trust to ensure full traceability.

“When we approached Bigtank, we had lots of challenges going around in our heads about how to use video. Where do we start? Which regions? Languages? What do we say? We found that Bigtank could do everything for us. They weren’t just going to get the camera, shoot us, and that was it.

“They could really help communicate and educate us on how to do it, how to develop our social media pages, how to put it on our community pages, and how to communicate it internally as well.

“The video tour page on our main GA website is the most visited page out of everything we have on our website, driving traffic to pick up the phone and enquire to be a partner.

“Bigtank are really an extension of my communications team. It’s more than just a transactional relationship. It’s far more than that. And I would be lost without them.”
