Two of Cheshire’s most iconic names — Chester Zoo and Arighi Bianchi — are joining forces this summer in a standout brand partnership with national appeal.
The collaboration kicks off with a bold transformation of homewares and interiors specialist Arighi Bianchi’s grand façade in Macclesfield, visible to thousands of train travellers passing through the town each day — including an unmissable installation featuring 50ft giraffes that brings the wild to the heart of the high street.
The collaboration celebrates the unveiling of Chester Zoo’s groundbreaking Heart of Africa habitat and its exclusive new luxury stay, The Reserve. For Arighi Bianchi, the alliance forms a key chapter in its Postcards From… campaign series — a travel-inspired celebration of design, culture and storytelling. This chapter casts a spotlight on South Africa as a design-forward destination, where interiors meet immersive experiences.
From now through summer, Arighi Bianchi’s historic showroom will transform into a safari of style – complete with South African-inspired décor, family events, and safari-themed fun and treats at its on-site eatery, Caffè AB. Kids can tuck into themed lunch packs, while grown-ups sip on wines from the country’s top vineyards and discover homeware treasures from some of Cape Town’s hottest designer brands.
Arighi is also offering the chance to win an exclusive stay at Chester Zoo’s brand-new safari style lodges, The Reserve, along with giveaways and special discounts on zoo tickets with every purchase made in-store.
“We’re two iconic Cheshire brands joining forces in the spirit of adventure,” said Sarah Bianchi, CEO of Arighi Bianchi. “As well as bringing a taste of Chester Zoo to our store, we’re proud to be supporting their vital conservation work in Africa. Together, we’re creating something truly special.
“South Africa also has a phenomenally cool contemporary design scene. Cape Town Design Week is jaw-dropping for its vibrant celebration of creativity rooted in cultural authenticity, sustainability, and social impact. The country is a design powerhouse that’s spawned brands like Dokter and Misses, Wiid Design and Weylandts; and local artisans working with rattan, ceramic and leather. Our new Postcards from South Africa collection embraces it all – from Afro-minimalism to authentic sustainably made homewares and bold colour palettes that play with sun-bleached tones and raw natural textures. Totally 2025-6 trends that are gathering pace.
“So, whether you’re after inspiration for your home, an activity-packed day with the kids, or a chance to win a one-of-a-kind stay at the zoo – this is your invitation to go wild, right here in Cheshire.”
Hannah Wright, senior strategic partnerships & development manager at Chester Zoo added:
“This partnership brings together two local icons to celebrate creativity, community and wildlife conservation. By uniting style with purpose, we’re not only offering unforgettable experiences for families this summer – but also raising vital funds to protect highly endangered species across Africa.”
Proceeds from the campaign will support Chester Zoo’s conservation work across Africa, helping to protect endangered species and preserve vital habitats in the for future generations.
