Sherwen Studios rebrands into full-service digital consultancy as revenues soar 100%

Runcorn-based Sherwen Studios has unveiled a rebrand and service refinement, transitioning from its origins as a photography studio to a full-service digital consultancy specialising in transformation, AI and automation.

Founded in 1980 as a family-run photography business, the company now works with national brands including ScS, Londis, Booker and Scoot. Under owner Matt Sherwen’s leadership, the firm has redefined its service offerings to address current digital transformation needs.

The company has expanded its team with recent appointments including Mark Combie as Head of Delivery and Gemma Dunmore as growth specialist, with a new Head of User Experience to be announced shortly. These hires have contributed to a 100% revenue increase over the past year.

Matt Sherwen says, “Our mission has always been to ensure that our clients are fit for their future, and we’ve put that same emphasis on our own internal values. That’s why our new service provision is about showcasing our progress, professionalism, and the tailored solutions we provide as a trusted partner.

“We want to demonstrate to clients that technology is changing exponentially. It’s not good enough to simply install plugins or develop new software solutions and expect significant changes to improve business growth. We believe that for long-term improvements to be made, the gap needs to be closed between cutting-edge technology and meaningful customer experiences. That’s why I am incredibly proud of my team, who have the knowledge and skills to continually push businesses forward and redefine the benchmarks of what a successful digital transformation looks like.”

The rebrand includes a new logo, design palette and brand identity developed by Design Director Andy Carlisle, with strategic input from Marketing and PR Consultant Hester Bloch.

“The best brand propositions come from the heart of a business,” said Bloch. “And with Sherwen, we saw a team that truly cares about solving client problems while also caring about their wider impact on the world. Their name, meaning ‘Bright Friend,’ perfectly captured their optimism, expertise, and the way they bridge gaps to solve real-world challenges. Their new proposition is shaped around this, ensuring it reflects who they are: a trusted, forward-thinking partner who lights the way for businesses navigating the world of technology.”

Sherwen added: “Our rebrand has given us the opportunity to simultaneously look back at our years of experience while also looking ahead to our future. It’s an exciting time for our team and I’m proud that our future has never looked brighter.”

The company’s refined service offerings now focus on commerce solutions, AI adoption, experience design and app development.
