Lancashire Cricket signs new commercial partnership in major venue deal

Lancashire Cricket has signed a new commercial partnership with CleanEvent Services Ltd to support matchday and event operations at Emirates Old Trafford.

The three-year deal sees CleanEvent become the club’s Official Cleaning Supplier and Partner, taking responsibility for cleaning and hygiene across the entire stadium – including its conference and event spaces, international and domestic cricket in-bowl areas, and the 250-bed Hilton Garden Inn hotel.

The agreement consolidates cleaning operations previously delivered by three separate providers, which the club says will streamline service, boost efficiency, and enhance consistency.

Daniel Gidney, Chief Executive at Lancashire Cricket, said: “We are thrilled to welcome CleanEvent Services as an official partner of Lancashire Cricket. Emirates Old Trafford is renowned for hosting unforgettable moments, and it is vital that every aspect of the guest experience, from cleanliness to customer service, meets the very highest standards.

“Our conference, events and hotel business has grown exponentially over the last decade and the cleaning provision has previously been delivered by three different providers. This agreement – which we believe to be one of the biggest of its kind in the UK leisure industry – has consolidated three delivery models into one, driving efficiency, innovation and greater consistency of service.

“CleanEvent’s proven track record with world-class venues made them a natural fit for us, and we look forward to working closely together in the coming years.”

CleanEvent Services, which has over 25 years of experience in the sector, will also benefit from branding across Emirates Old Trafford’s concourse, digital assets, and sponsorship of one of the four Vitality Blast double headers.

CEO Tomas Gronager said: “We are proud to be partnering with such an iconic club as Lancashire Cricket.

“We are committed to ensuring the venue is presented at its absolute best for every visitor, player, hotel guest and event client. We look forward to building a strong and successful relationship with the Club, its clients and supporters.”
