Manchester United has signed a sponsorship deal with spirits brand, Aperol.
The contract runs until the end of the 2016/2017 season and will see Aperol branding appear at all domestic games at Old Trafford as well as official publications, MUTV and the official club website.
“With the club widely recognised as the most supported in the world, this is a partnership that will deliver brand exposure on a massive scale, helping to provide Aperol, and its signature drink Aperol Spritz, with excellent levels of year-round brand exposure, consumer engagement and promotional opportunities in developed and new global markets,” said Bob Kunze-Concewitz, chief executive officer, Gruppo Campari.
“Aperol is a brand that embodies success, celebration and sociability. The natural fit between the two brands makes the partnership one that will benefit both parties.”
The marketing will be headed by a message of “Cheers United!” as the brand seeks to develop beyond its traditional Italian roots.
