Doncaster-based CPH2 has appointed Paul Cassidy as Chief Technical Officer and Director of subsidiary, Clean Power Hydrogen Group.
Cassidy, who’s currently Methanol Technology Manager at Johnson Matthey, is expected to join the firm at the end of March.

“CPH2’s technology will play a crucial role in the evolution of the hydrogen sector in the UK and globally. Both the management team and engineering team have grown significantly in the past year and I look forward to supporting CPH2’s roll out of the MFE.”
The green hydrogen tech and manufacturing company was established to find the cleanest way to produce hydrogen, so it could be adopted as a sustainable energy for the future.
Cassidy will focus on its IP-protected Membrane-Free Electrolyser (“MFE”), which produces hydrogen in a safer, more cost effective and robust way – with less wastewater.
The aim is to get it into production for CPH2 and license holders this year.

CPH2 has outlined production targets of 4GW per year in 2030, with 1gW being produced at its own facilities and the remainder under license.
