Code creates interactive video for electrical safety charity

Code Computerlove is behind an interactive video to reduce deaths and injuries caused by electrical accidents.

The online video campaign for Electrical Safety First offers two options and viewers can flick between “good” and “bad” scenarios by pressing “P” on their keyboard.

“When you Press P you can follow Dad’s decision to either replace the fusebox himself in time for his daughter’s birthday party, or to call in a registered electrician to do the work. By switching between the two stories, you can see the impact of his decisions,” explained Emma Apter, head of communications at Electrical Safety First.

“The video was created following our research that showed 80% of people don’t know that certain electrical jobs should only be carried out by a registered electrician.”

The video is one of a series uploaded to the website, presspforparty, which is supported by the hashtag #dontdiefordiy.
