Emmerdale plans Emmerdale plans

Yorkshire Television has applied for planning permission to build a replica of Emmerdale’s Home Farm as part of an “exciting storyline.”

The plans submitted to Leeds City Council detail a film set facade, which would be built on a field at Stub House Farm in Harewood.

The temporary film set would be in place for just one year.

Unsurprisingly, ITV wouldn’t reveal any more about the storyline, but since the beginnings of the soap, exteriors of Home Farm have been filmed at the grade II listed country house, Creskeld Hall.

It even survived 1993’s plane crash plotline, which was seen by a record 18m viewers.
