York production company Inkblot Films has created a series of animation projects for global insurance provider Clements Worldwide.

Inkblot has delivered a series of animation projects focusing on car and personal property insurance while overseas, aimed at expats and diplomats, for the insurer. The deal is reported to have come about via the York Women in Tech network.

Clements Worldwide was founded in 1947 and is headquartered in Washington, DC, providing cover for expatriates and international organisations across car, property, health, life, speciality, and high-risk insurance in over 170 countries.

Mike Leigh Cooper, Co-founder of Inkblot Films, said: “The animations cover everything from storyboarding and illustration to voiceovers, and they’ve been interesting projects to work on from a messaging perspective, because they are targeting niche audiences who have very specific requirements.

“It’s also been interesting navigating UK and US time zones on a project with tight timescales! Fortunately, the team at Clements has been fantastic to work with.”

Inkblot was founded in 2014 by Cooper along with Jay Sillence, and has clients including JORVIK Viking Centre, BBC, Channel 4 Learning and YouTube.

Etela Ivkovic, Marketing Manager at Clements Worldwide, added: “Working with the Inkblot team was a true pleasure. We had an extremely tight deadline and complex need that required a lot of creativity to simplify and clearly present our products. The team took the initiative, came up with ideas, pointed out areas that needed improvement, and closely collaborated with us to ensure our story was clearly communicated.”
