Manchester-based social media marketing company, KOMI, has appointed a new Head of Editorial.

Sian Broderick will oversee all aspects of editorial output as well as implementing a new editorial strategy. She joins from Global, where she was Senior Social Editor, running Capital FM’s social media channels. She’s also worked at LADbible.

“As a social-first editor, KOMI group felt like the perfect fit for me as it has amassed an impressive portfolio of highly engaged social channels. My focus will be on helping to ramp up their offering and reach millions of people with a whole range of engaging, interesting, targeted, and diverse stories,” she said.

The company has also appointed a new producer and social media presenter and voice over artist, as it targets a £2m turnover for 2021.

“2021 is set to be a big year for the group so we are delighted to be bringing in these three talented creatives,” explained Andrew Trotman, Managing Director of KOMI group.

“Each bring fantastic experience that I know will add value to the business and our clients as we continue to drive forward and grow.”

Since the pandemic began, the company, previously known as It’s Gone Viral, has won contracts with SWAN, Mars Pets and The Flava People. It has also taken additional space at its Ancoats base.

It states that on average it delivers over one billion views across its portfolio of pages each month.
