The first keynote speaker for this year’s SAScon conference has been announced as Brett Tabke.
Tabke, CEO and founder of social media and search marketing conferences, Pubcon, is also CEO and founder of WebmasterWorld Inc, and will be talking about the new reality of the web.
Tabke has run community networking sites continuously since 1984 and has also authored several books on assembly language programming, as well as a chapter for the bestselling “Google Hacks” book.
He said: “For SAScon 2014, I intend to speak about the new reality of the web. The discussion will focus around the uncertainty of guaranteeing traffic from Google, and that this uncertainty may mean businesses cannot be based on organic traffic anymore.
“In addition, I will look at future web predictions concerning Appspace and Webspace, Splinternet concerns and the long term viable traffic alternatives.”
The fifth SAScon, the search, analytics and social media conference, is being held at MMU Business School on 5 and 6 June. The two-day event will feature talks from four high regarded keynotes from the industry. It will also comprise of 50 solo presentations and 30 panels interspersed with networking opportunities, including a post conference social.

Early bird bookings cost just £125 + VAT for a one day ticket or £195 + VAT for a two day ticket if they are booked before 4 April. Bookings made after 4 April will be £150 + VAT for a one day ticket or £250 + VAT for a two day ticket.
