Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub has teamed up with Creative England to create their first joint hub with Creative England – with one manager to head it up.
As the new digital creative media sector development manager, Sam Winder will be developing a range of business support services.
She was formerly business relationship officer at Lancaster University’s InfoLab21, the North West’s Centre for ICT Excellence whose focus is to encourage digital and creative research growth.
She said: “This new role is a hugely exciting and ambitious one and brings together the best of what the Business Growth Hub and Creative England have to offer the creative industries – from practical financial support and mentoring to collaborative working and access to the latest research.
“We want to work with companies who can benefit from our help to develop strategies that tie into their business goals and find innovative ways to help them use resources that give them a competitive edge. Ultimately our aim is to help digital and creative SMEs to access the support that is out there to raise both their profile and that of Greater Manchester as a pioneering and creative region.”
The Business Growth Hub and its partners currently deliver products and services that include the Manufacturing Advisory Service, UKTI, Access to Finance, UK Start-Up Loans, NW Business Angels, Manchester Business Loans, ENWORKS and mentoring programmes plus a range of networking and specialist growth events.
