Reach rolls out BusinessLive title next month

businesslive

Reach has confirmed that its new online BusinessLive portal will launch next month.

It’s the latest “Live” site from the publisher, with this promising to bring together the best local and national business stories.

At a local level, business reporters from each newspaper will supply regional coverage, including features about entrepreneurs, “stars of the future” and small firms, “that are the backbone of our economy.” This will be mixed with national stories. It will be edited by Alistair Houghton, the Executive Business Editor at the Liverpool Echo.

In a story published today in all its regional titles, it stated:

“We’ll inspire business through trusted local and national content in uncertain times. We’ll give our readers the news and information they need to do business locally and nationally. And we’ll explain what’s happening in the business world, telling the stories behind the headlines.”

When Reach first announced the launch, Chief Audience Officer, David Higgerson explained that the BusinessLive operation would: “allow us to better serve audiences who we know prize our informed local coverage, and provide more of a destination site for those seeking more general business news.”
