Dr Oetker returns to TV with multimillion pound marketing campaign

Pizza brand, Dr. Oetker Ristorante, is to continue its partnership with Channel 4’s First Dates.

It’s part of a multimillion pound marketing campaign, which also includes content created in partnership with Channel 4 and social media.

Starting today, Valentines-themed films will air, featuring the cast of First Dates.


“We are excited about the next phase of our partnership with Channel 4 and First Dates,” said Josephine Skinner, Senior Brand Manager at Dr. Oetker.

“The Ristorante brand aims to offer an authentic and relatable Italian pizza experience for couples, perfect for a romantic date night, any night! But we, like our customers, like to dream big – especially when it comes to making those midweek occasions really matter.

“It’s for this reason that we’ve launched our latest competition, offering people the chance to win their dream date night. Whether it’s a romantic meal at a Michelin Star Restaurant or jetting off somewhere exotic, it’s up to you – it’s your dream date night after all!”

Dr. Oetker’s UK operations are based in Leeds and Leyland, Lancashire.

This is the latest phase in the partnership with Channel 4, which began in October last year. According to the brand, so far it’s attracted over 345k new shoppers over the 12 week period.
