Manchester United and England’s Jesse Lingard has set up an official YouTube channel to promote his JLingz brand.

It’s less than a year after United themselves decided to join the video platform.

Ostensibly it’s to give fans a glimpse behind the scenes of the Premier League footballer’s life, it will also concentrate on his new line of clothing, which launched earlier this week.

Lingard has almost 8m followers across social media, with the majority of these on Instagram (5.7m). In just 24 hours he’s gained 86k subscribers on YouTube and more than 250k video views.

However, he still has some work to do to catch up with team-mates, including Paul Pogba. According to Filter Digital’s new Sportstar Influencer platform, Lingard only just makes it into the Top 50 most influential Premier League players.

Manchester City stars take 7 of the Top 10 places, with Pogba 6th and De Gea 6th.
