SKV behind Transport for Greater Manchester’s Golden Noel campaign

SKV has partnered with Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) for its Christmas travel safely campaign.

Running until New Year’s Eve, it includes a web app, a 6 week partnership programme, experiential activity and a social media calendar of content. This all features Mancunian Elf, Noel.

“The SKV team pulled together a creative communications campaign that had genuine cut-through and engagement at a busy time of year,” said Mike Mellor, head of commercial and marketing at TfGM.

“Taking Noel out on tour at six of Manchester’s most well-known and most-loved attractions across Greater Manchester has really worked for us and the SKV team have demonstrated a true understanding of what it takes to get our messages seen, heard and engaged with.”     

Manchester-based SKV developed and implemented a hunt to locate exclusive “Golden” Noel baubles, which could be found by answering a riddle on TfGM’s interactive map, which was developed by Modern English.

“Noel has captured the travelling public’s attention and the interactive map is a great way to communicate travel messages in the busy run up to Christmas,” added Geraldine Vesey, director at SKV Communications.

“We’ve worked with some great marketing partners across Greater Manchester deliver a wide-ranging communications campaign that has really driven engagement.”
