Watch: Kevin the Carrot takes on Leafy Blinders in 2019 Aldi Xmas ad

Kevin the Carrot finds himself up against Russell Sprout and his Brummy gang of ‘Leafy Blinders’ in Aldi’s 2019 Christmas campaign created by McCann.

The 70-second film follows on from Aldi’s Christmas teaser, which aired last Friday. Kevin, the ‘nation’s favourite carrot’, finds himself in hot water with an angry gang of brussels sprouts who are ‘boiling with rage’ that he is again stealing the show as the star Christmas vegetable.

The ad, which will air from Thursday 7th November at 5.30pm on ITV, begins with the sprouts gathering round Kevin to teach him a lesson. They’ve heard he’s planning on putting on a massive Christmas show and they want to put a stop to it.

Luckily Kevin manages to escape the sprouts’ clutches with the help of Tiny Tom and deliver his ‘Christmas Spectacular.’ You can watch a sneak preview below.

Kevin first graced TV screens in 2016 as part of Aldi’s Christmas campaign.
