Two old warriors assume the throne and compare toilet roll brands in McCann UK's latest 'Like Brands' campaign for Aldi.
Breaking this week to time with the latest Game of Thrones series launch, the TV spot and online execution runs in 30-second and 20-second formats across a variety of satellite channels and will then run again from May 6th to May 25th.
It sees two Braveheart-like characters - albeit with characteristically Northern accents - sitting on the toilet amid glorious scenery when they are rudely interrupted by presumably a dragon.
The 'Like Brands' campaign was originally launched in 2011 and has won more than 40 national and international creative and effectiveness awards.
McCann is also behind Aldi's successful 'Kevin the Carrot' Christmas campaign and McCann Manchester was recently behind its Mother's Day ad.
