Social Communications has won the North West public relations brief from the Institute of Directors (IoD), following a 4-way pitch.

The Sale-based agency will deliver media relations, event support and social media to promote the organisation.

“The IoD’s members are business leaders, entrepreneurs and company directors from across all sectors, representing the best in North West business,” said managing director John Quinton Barber.

“Our aim is to help highlight this expertise, in particular the success of the region’s growing science, technology, transport and media sectors.”

It will be working to promote business issues and policies and making sure that messages are heard by influential stakeholders, including politicians.

IoD’s North West regional director, Rachel Smith added:

“Their integrated strategy will enable us to build on our existing PR activity and give us a louder voice, ensuring we can support and inspire businesses of all sizes.”
