After a lengthy judging session weighing up entries from Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Knutsford, Newcastle, Blackburn, Wetherby, Salford and Wirral, we have our Inspired Spaces North shortlist for 2018.

Deliberations considered numerous high quality entries, and the resulting 22-strong shortlist will now be profiled on Prolific North throughout September and October.

Thanks to all those who entered and we’re sorry for those who didn’t make the cut.

The Inspired Spaces North initiative, in association with  Active Profile and Prolific North, is being backed for a second year by headline partner Sheila Bird Group, with supporting partners Zut Media, GVA and Windmill Green.

With a higher quality of video content submitted this year, there are some outstanding workplaces to look forward to.

Atul Bansal, co-founder of the Sheila Bird Group, said: “A lot of the entries this year are about the culture of the businesses. Trend is disappearing  and people are not relying on gimmicks as much.”

Mark Hancock, Zut Media director, added: “People are clearly spending more time on their entries, some of this year’s videos are much better, a lot more professional.”

And don’t forget that like last year, our final Top 10 Inspired Spaces in the North will be decided by public vote, with the final 10 announced at a wrap party in November.
