CBBC Live and Digital will be heading to Hull this October, for a weekend of events, live broadcasts and digital activities.
It’s through a partnership between CBBC, BBC Learning, Hull UK City of Culture 2017 and Hull City Council.
The event is part of BBC Make it Digital, an initiative to inspire a new generation to get into digital. As such there will be interactive zones created by BBC Learning and the chance to meet the teams behind Appsolute Genius and Technobabble.
“I am really excited to see such a major event for young people coming to Hull, particularly one that will develop digital skills. It is the start of what I hope will be a significant relationship with the BBC,” said Martin Green, chief executive of the Hull 2017 Culture Company.
There will also be a chance to try out the BBC micro:bit, the pocket-sized codable computer, which is to be given free to pupils across the UK.
It takes place from 31st October to 1st November.
