Greggs has partnered with former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini on a new charity chocolate bar.
The Newcastle-based bakery chain will be donating 5p from every purchase of its new limited edition Belgian Chocolate Crunch Bar.
The bar, which goes on sale on Tuesday 8th September and will be available for eight weeks, will raise money for Cheryl’s Trust, which supports disadvantaged young people in the North East.
Fernandez-Versini said: “It’s great to have Greggs on board supporting the Trust and helping to give back to the North East, it really is a project that is close to my heart.”
Malcolm Copland, commercial director for Greggs, added: “We know our customers often enjoy a coffee and a treat, so we’re hoping the Belgian Chocolate Crunch Bar is the perfect treat to satisfy taste buds, whilst also giving something back.”
