Listed sports betting and gaming operator, Entain, has announced plans to grow its Greater Manchester games studio to 50 staff.

The group, which owns brands including Coral, Ladbrokes and bwin will double its investment at its in-house studios to create new products and experiences for customers.

It will employ around 300 people across the UK, Italy and India within a year, with CR Games in Oldham raising its headcount to 50, with 8 new tech roles.

The new content will include free to play slots tournaments, and products based around the recent sponsorship between its PartyCasino and PartyPoker brands and McLaren.

The Group’s first VR product for customers – a multi-activity sports club – is due later in the year.

“By widening our offer with new and exclusive games, such as free-to-play tournaments, we give existing and new customers more reasons to use our products.” explained Jette Nygaard-Andersen, Chief Executive of Entain.

“This not only helps to grow our business but brings fresh insight, so we can further improve the offer for our customers.”

CR Games is also adapting its best-selling content for international markets, including Big Banker, which will be available for customers of Optibet in Latvia and bwin customers in other parts of Europe.

The studio is behind recreational games like casino release, “Fiery Wilds.”
