Teachers and students from the school which featured in the heart-warming and Bafta nominated television series Educating Yorkshire have been cast in a new video for a brand agency.
Leeds brand and digital collective Fist of Fury enlisted the help of star student ‘Mushy P’ along with other teachers and students from Thornhill Community Academy, to make the short promotional video you can see below.
The video was produced to convey the idea that Fist of Fury educates brands, while maintaining a disruptive approach to its work, was filmed at the school last month and launched on the creative collectives’ site and YouTube and Vimeo channels.

Founder of Martin O’Toole, admitted that involving the school was ‘shameless bandwagon jumping’ but necessary.
He explained: “With us being new and relatively unknown, we happened upon the opportunity to shamelessly jump on the bandwagon of the twice BAFTA-nominated documentary.
“The idea was to simply ask the Educating Yorkshire cast who was the most disruptive in class (see what we did there?!). We didn’t really know what result to expect, but for anyone who saw the show and fell in love with the characters, we hope you see what we see – genuine and fun people – who couldn’t take our brand seriously at all!!”
Musharaf Asghar (known as Mushy P) – arguably the star of the Channel 4 programme, who learnt to overcome his stammer with the help of teacher Mr Matthew Burton – was one of those to help out the newcomer.
“Mushy was an absolute trooper during the filming – especially since he had to work through his stammer with a load of strangers in the room. He’s a very polite and considered young man and we were very lucky to have him on board,”
said O’Toole.
