Direct mail specialist launches virtual gifting for charities

Propack has launched a new virtual gifting solution to help charities.

The Huddersfield direct mail specialist tested the concept last year with Centrepoint’s Christmas campaign, which raised around £67k for the charity.

It developed the solution to help other third sector organisations capitalise on the additional revenue stream the platform provides through the creation of fully personalised greeting cards and gifts specific to each charity.

“Many charities will be planning their Christmas campaigns at the moment and virtual gift programmes can be exceptionally valuable for the third sector, both in terms of financial benefit and brand awareness,” said Jason Clough, Managing Director of Propack.

“Our team has worked hard to develop this solution following a full programme of analysis and UX testing, resulting in the integration of personalised messaging, digital variable print, the introduction of specifically designed order forms and production of a designed suite of greeting cards.”

According to Centrepoint it raised £367k through virtual gifts, compared to £301k the year before. The average gift was also higher – £68 against £52.
