Yesterday saw thousands of ambitious digital professionals come through the doors of Manchester Central to attend the first day of Digital City Expo.

As well as having the chance to meet influential businesses from marketing, ecommerce, marketing and media, the event’s content was opened with a keynote from Digital Minister Chris Philp MP, who discussed the future of the UK’s tech economy.

Other high-profile figures at the event included Bev Craig, who launched the city region’s digital strategy on the Digital Masterclass Stage; and Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, who visited the expo to meet exhibitors and attendees.

Across the rest of the Digital City Expo stages on Day One, guests filled the event’s stages to hear from speakers on topics encompassing social media strategy, payment technology, IoT, digital PR, and much more.

Keynote sessions at Digital City Expo are available to stream now via the event’s app, with the rest of the content available from next week.

Registration is still possible to attend the expo today – to meet exhibitors and hear from thought leaders – eitherbon the door or by clicking here.

Today, content in the Keynote Theatre will include a personal branding panel featuring Ash Jones and Dominic McGregor at 10am, a look at the metaverse with Hyper Island at 11am, a dedicated panel for neurodiversity in tech at 12pm, and an esports address at 3pm.

Other stages will host speakers from companies including New Look, Klaviyo, The Couture Club, Adyen, Northcoders, Pure360, Weetabix and Praetura Ventures.
