Hellawell is currently the Chairman of Softcat PLC, a provider of IT infrastructure products and services. He joined the company in 2006 as MD and during his time there, he's guided it through a “significant period of growth” including its IPO in November 2015.

“I am delighted to welcome Martin to Team17.  Martin brings a wealth of PLC experience that complements our ambitious growth aspirations and is also extremely well-versed in technology and digital markets,” said Chris Bell, Non-Executive Chairman of Team17.

Hellawell was recently named as Chairman of Raspberry Pi Trading Ltd and will sit on the Group’s audit, remuneration and nomination committees.

“I am thrilled to be joining such an exciting company at this important stage of its development.  I have been following the Company for some time and can’t wait to take up my position on the board.  I thoroughly look forward to working with my new colleagues at Team17,” he said.
