Magnetic appoints training business lead in Manchester

Magnetic's Minda Galvin

Design and innovation company Magnetic, created from the 2021 merger of Fluxx and magneticNorth, has appointed Minda Galvin as training business director.

Galvin has previously served as head of creative and content at Provident Financial Group and held senior positions at Asda and British Gas.

She will head up Magnetic’s training and capability building business in response to a demand surge driven by the post-pandemic reality and a period of economic and political instability, rising business costs, the realities of a slippery workforce, and the continued acceleration of digital technologies resulting in companies being under increased pressure to innovate.

Despite this challenging environment, Magnetic has delivered bespoke design and innovation training programmes to global and national brands including RSA Insurance, PATRIZIA, PWC, Deloitte and Atkins for over a decade. Galvin will strengthen its existing, 65 per cent female operational leadership team.

She said: “Over the last two decades I’ve helped organisations to transform from the inside. I’m now excited to use these skills to deliver on Magnetic’s purpose to design better futures by equipping hundreds of businesses and thousands of people with the design and innovation skills they need to thrive. Over time, we’ll be expanding our training offering to include on demand training, dynamic content and we’ll be creating a community of alumni that will continue to learn from one another well into the future.”

Galvin has a track record in supporting C-Suite to navigate complex change. She will be based at Magnetic’s Manchester office.
