Sky has appointed Leeds-based Journey Further to boost its paid search activity for the UK market after a competitive pitch.

The broadcaster wants to make it easier for customers to find relevant help for issues such as billing queries, technical and setup problems. Journey Further will specifically target improvements to this online customer journey through personalised paid search results and directing users to the best content to respond to their enquiries.

PPC also presents an opportunity to test different landing pages and content as well as measure success in resolving customers’ problems.

Abdul Mullick, Head of Digital Transformation at Sky, said: “Journey Further impressed us with their agile approach to our brief. Their experience and expertise is clear and we are looking forward to working closely with their team.”

Dan Peden, Strategy Director at Journey Further, added: “The brief set by Sky is very clear. They are looking to push the boundaries of what is typically done with PPC and they need an experienced team, as well as a setup that allows them to act fast. Our agency ethos, clarity at speed, delivers exactly that.”

Journey Further was founded in 2017 by Robin Skidmore, Matt Kwiecinski and Chris Rowett, and has since grown to 30 staff.
