The Queer Media Festival is returning to Manchester this November, for its fifth year.

The country’s only queer digital arts festival will be held at HomeMcr and The Sharp Project.

Events and workshops will include innovative storytelling using VR, mobile filmmaking and podcasting as well as the UK premiere of Deep in Vogue, a film about the Northern vogue dance scene.

“Learn hands on, from industry experts how to utilise digital to tell your story. Enjoy a creative mix of inspiring talks and engaging workshops aiming to encourage and inspire you with the skills to refresh representation and the way that LGBTQ narratives are told,” said Jamie Starboisky, Queer Media’s festival director.

The Sharp Project will host a series of workshops, with one focusing on podcasting facilitated by Emma Goswell (Gaydio Radio) and Chrystal Genesis (STANCE podcast).
