The CBeebies Christmas Special will be shown at cinemas across the UK for the first time as well as on TV and iPlayer.
The Regent Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent is to host this year’s CBeebies Christmas Show, which will be an adaptation of the original Hans Christian Andersen tale Thumbelina.
Thumbelina records in Stoke-on-Trent on November 3rd and 4th launches on BBC iPlayer and in cinemas across the UK on December 15th and will be broadcast on CBeebies on December 21st.
There will be additional and exclusive cinema content led by renowned children’s presenter Justin Fletcher. The show will be produced by BBC Children’s In House Productions and promises to deliver “a colourful spectacle of music, dance and action-packed comedy”.
The 2018 cast features many of CBeebies’ most popular actors and presenters including Fletcher, Ben Faulks, Aimée Campbell and Andy Day.
Four performances will take place in the theatre across the two days ensuring that more people than ever before get to see their CBeebies favourites up close.
