The line-up has been announced for the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, which has relocated this year to a North Wales castle.

Coronavirus restrictions has ensured that the new series, which launches on Sunday, is this year taking place at Gwrych Castle in Abergele, instead of its usual location in Australia.

This year’s contestants include Olympic gold medallist Sir Mo Farah, broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire and former Coronation Street actress Beverley Callard.

Also taking part are presenter Vernon Kay, actor Shane Ritchie, former Strictly dancer AJ Pritchard, EastEnders actress Jessica Plummer, BBC Radio 1 DJ Jordan North, Paralympic champion Hollie Arnold and author and podcaster Giovanna Fletcher.

Two further participants are yet to be revealed.

ITV recently confirmed that one of the cast members, thought to be AJ Pritchard, had recently tested positive for Covid-19, although he is clearly still taking part.

The broadcaster said that a virtual version of the castle has been created to enable producers to work out where best to position the cameras without having to visit the site.

All on-site crew will also have devices which beep when individuals come within two metres of each other.
