Global and Dentsu’s Story Lab partner on podcast series

Dentsu Aegis’ The Story Lab is to co-produce a number of podcasts with Global over the next 12 months.

The partnership starts with a 6-part series about the life of Ghislaine Maxwell, the former associate of Jeffrey Epstein, who’s currently awaiting trial in New York. It will be presented by former Panorama and Newsnight reporter, John Sweeney.

Global said that the partnership would “unlock funding” for a 6 original podcasts over the next year, which will cover true crime, comedy, entertainment and sport.

“We could not have found a better partner than The Story Lab for this game-changing partnership,” said Katie Bowden, Director of Commercial Audio at Global.

“Starting with ‘Hunting Ghislaine’, our shared ambition is to drive the UK podcast industry forward at pace and create compelling partnership opportunities for advertisers through fascinating stories delivered through the market leading Global Player platform.”

Global’s brands including Capital, Heart, Radio X and Gold.
