The BBC has announced further details of next month’s Sport Relief, which will come live from MediaCityUK.

Hosts Gary Lineker and Paddy McGuinness will be joined by Alex Scott, Oti Mabuse, Emma Willis, Tom Allen, Maya Jama and Rylan Clark-Neal for the BBC One show.

Sketches will include spoofs of Line of Duty, featuring Jason Isaacs and Lee Mack; and Killing Eve (Killing Steves); while presenters from BBC, Channel 4, Sky and ITV will take part in a boat race on Salford Quays.

“Firstly, Sport Relief is an important driving force that brings the nation together to get active and raise life changing amounts of money through the power of sport,” said Gary Lineker.

“Secondly, I’m a huge fan of the sport and entertainment collaborations that happen on the night. Where else could you find one of our most successful tennis players taking part in a round of mini golf with a comedian or a gold medal winning Olympic rower being killed off by a mysterious blonde assassin?!”

There will also be a number of films throughout the night showing how money raised can help vulnerable people around the world.

“There was no hesitation when I heard the words Sport Relief,” added Ryaln Clark-Neal.

“I’ve been involved in plenty of things for Comic Relief so I know how important this is and the massive impact they have on people’s lives across the country and overseas. In fact, I’m really looking forward to joining Emma and Oti, we’re going to have a lot of fun on the night – we’ll also do our job properly, too!”

Other specials include Sir Andy Murray playing mini golf against Romesh Ranganathan; QI, A Question of Sport Relief; and Dance Along With AJ And Curtis Pritchard.

Meanwhile runners will be invited to take part in Beat Beethoven, a challenge to run 5K around MediaCityUK in the time it takes for the BBC Philharmonic to play Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.
