Everton Women announces Football Manager partnership

Football Manager - Everton Women

Everton Women has announced Football Manager as its official partner.

In the partnership, the football management simulation game will team up with the football club with its branding to appear on interview backdrops.

As part of the agreement, the gaming brand will also feature in pitchside advertising at Everton Women’s Walton Hall Park stadium and will appear at all fixtures played by Willie Kirk’s side at Goodison Park.

The Football Manager branding will also feature across content output from the club’s social media accounts.

The women’s football club will provide Sports Interactive, the gaming brand behind the game, with access to matchday experiences, player appearances and official merchandise for giveaways.

The partnership with Everton is one of Sports Interactive’s first with an FA Women’s Super League side, and will provide the gaming brand with access to matchday experiences, player appearances and official merchandise for giveaways.

It follows the recent announcement that work has started to include women’s football in a future version of Football Manager.

Sarvar Ismailov, Sporting and Commercial Director for Everton Women, said: “This is a hugely exciting partnership for us. Football Manager is a staple of the game. This relationship reflects the parallel ambitions of Football Manager and Everton Women as we look forward to the 2021/22 season – a campaign unlike any other in the history of the women’s game because of the increased profile the new broadcast rights agreement provides.”

Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at Sports Interactive, added: “We’re honoured to be partnering with Everton Women for the new FA WSL season as we create a new chapter in our history with The People’s Club.

“Everton became our first top-flight partner club back in 2008 so it’s fitting that Everton Women are going to be one of our first club partners from the FA WSL. Like everyone else, we can’t wait for the new season to get underway and wish Willie Kirk and his Blues squad every success for the new campaign.”
