Duck Soup Films has named Kate Larking as its new Head of Production.
Larking joins from Birmingham-based kids and family indie, Threewise Entertainment. She’s previously worked as a Line Producer on Red’s Ridley Road and been a visiting lecturer at the University of Salford.
“I’m over the moon to be joining the inspirational team at Duck Soup and working together on their slate of exciting, visionary projects,” she said.
Reporting directly to the founders, she will be responsible for overseeing the management of all Duck Soup projects from development through to delivery.
“We are delighted to be welcoming Kate to Duck Soup. She brings with her a wealth of valuable experience and is a champion of creating nurturing production environments that facilitate and support the ‘talent-led’ creative approach that we embrace at Duck Soup,” added co-founder, Jessica Brown Meek.
Last year, the Leeds production company was named on Channel 4’s Indie Growth Fund and has since made a series of appointments, including the former head of Big Talk North.
