Radio 6 Music stalwart Julie Cullen has been appointed as the new Managing Editor of 5 Live, Prolific North can reveal.

Cullen has worked for 6 Music since the station was launched in 2002 and is currently its Commissioning Executive, based at MediaCityUK. Her role also includes being Commissioning Executive for the North for BBC Radio 2.
