Appeal TV has announced that it is setting up a Manchester office, led by Sally Evans.

Evans joins from ITV’s Multistory Media (previously Shiver), where she’s been executive producer of shows including Gino D’Acampo’s Italian Express; Nation’s Favourite Walk: Top 100; Fierce with Steve Backshall; 7Up and Me; and the highly acclaimed Michael Apted series: 63Up.

Her role at Appeal will be to develop and produce factual entertainment formats and talent-led factual for the UK and international markets.

“Appeal TV has an impeccable reputation of delivering high calibre entertainment and factual entertainment shows fronted by high profile talent and I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining them as they look to build on their success and expand to the North,” she said.

Appeal was founded by former MTV Commissioner and Executive Producer, Jake Attwell (Geordie Shore, Just Tattoo of Us, Braniac: Science Abuse) and director, Iain Thompson (Gary Barlow Journey to Afghanistan, Ewan McGregor’s Cold Chain Mission). The indie produces The Charlotte Show for MTV and has made films for Soccer Aid and Stand Up To Cancer.

“We are thrilled to have attracted an Exec of Sally’s quality to join the team at Appeal TV. Sally’s experience as both a development powerhouse and hugely talented and trusted producer will add to Appeal’s very strong programme-making pedigree,” said Attwell.

“In addition, we now have the opportunity to base new productions in the North, so we’re very excited about what’s ahead.”
