Chester Zoo and Chief produce new TV and cinema ad

Chester Zoo - The World in a Day

Yoni Weisberg has directed a new, 40-second TV and cinema ad for Chester Zoo through Media City-based production company Chief and agency The Seed Project.

The clip, titled The World in a Day, is part of the not-for-profit zoo’s campaign that not only highlights its animals and immersive experiences, but its crucial conservation work too.

While families have not been able to explore much of the world beyond their own front door step for the past couple of years, the film showcases that at Chester Zoo visitors can travel from the plains of Africa to the forests of Madagascar and the islands of South East Asia, and still be home in time for tea!

Colin Offland, CEO at Chief, comments: “Working with Chester Zoo has been on our wish list for a while. As a conservation powerhouse, their work is critical to preventing extinction and tackling the biodiversity crisis. Ensuring that our planet remains

diverse and vibrant is in line with our ethos, so it was great to be involved in creating a film to connect people with nature and use its voice to create positive change.”

Helen Dean, head of marketing at Chester Zoo added: “When people visit Chester Zoo they often don’t realise that by simply visiting us they are supporting vital conservation work here at the zoo and across the world. The World in a Day has allowed us to both highlight the fantastic animals and immersive spaces at the zoo and our incredible global science and conservation work in a fun and interactive way. We can’t wait for everyone to see it on TV and cinema screens in the next couple of months.”

Founded in 2002, Chief has grown to become one of the largest independent production companies in the country. Alongside its roster of 16 directors working on films for globally recognised brands, Chief has a 10,000 sq ft on-site studio, production office and in-house post facilities.
